The 2010 Rip Curl Pro Search is set to take place in Puerto Rico between October 30 – November 10, 2010 with Middles Beach, Isabela selected as the main beach for the event, with Wilderness Beach as second choice.
If you follow surfing in Puerto Rico, you will know that Middles Beach is a popular spot for surfers on the island and Middles recently hosted the first event on the APSPR Corona Extra Pro Surf Circuit.
The 2010 Rip Curl Pro Search will bring together 35 of the world’s top surfers based on current Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) rankings. Among those scheduled to compete are nine-time tour champion Kelly Slater, a heavy weight in the surfing world.
When not watching the world’s top surfers, you can check out some of the non-surfing activities that will be taking place. The event is sponsored by Coors Light who will be providing live music every day to keep the crowds happy.
The 2010 Rip Curl Pro Search event in Puerto Rico is the second to last stop on the 2010 tour calendar with the final event taking place at the Banzai Pipeline in Oahu, Hawaii, in December
