Whether you are a beginner or expert in diving you are sure to find some great scuba diving in Puerto Rico. There are dive sites all around the island, as well as the islands of Culebra, Vieques, Mona and Desecheo.

I’m not a diver, so I can not offer advice as to where you should dive, but the following is a resource list of scuba diving tour operators in Puerto Rico that you should check out, if you plan to scuba dive during your visit to Puerto Rico.
Eastern Puerto Rico
Pure Adventure Puerto Rico
Pure Adventure Puerto Rico are based on the east of the island and offer dives to more than 50 sites on the east coast of Puerto Rico from either Fajardo or Humacao. Trips over to Vieques require a minimum of 6 divers and for Culebra dive sites a minimum of 20 divers.
For certified divers they will take you to sites such as; Briar Patch, The Reserve, Moray Ledge and Cayo Diablo.
Night dives are also an option.
Beginners can spend an afternoon experiencing diving for the first time. This full afternoon trip includes diving in a local hotel pool, before heading out to Cayo Lobos where you will dive the reef at between 15 – 30 feet in depth.

La Casa del Mar
La Casa del Mar are located at the marina of the El Conquistador Hotel close to Fajrado.
They offer suba diving at various locations on the north east coast of Puerto Rico as well as the islands of Vieques and Culebra. They even offer tours at dive sites around St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.
Some of the dive sites include:
Cayo Diablo, Palominito’s Wall, Spurge and Groove, Sand Slide, Cayo Lobos
Morning and afternoon dive tours are available and full day tours to Culebra, Vieques and St Thomas are available

Scuba Diving Tours
They offer 2 tank dive trips in the mornings and an afternoon trip for first time scuba divers. They also accommodate non divers on their afternoon trips.

Sea Ventures
Sea Ventures have locations at Fajardo and Palmas del Mar on the east coast of Puerto Rico. They offer tours for beginners, experienced divers and levels in between.
Trips include a 2 tank morning dive, 2 tank discover dive, 2 tank afternoon dive, afternoon discover dive and night time dives

Culebra Divers
Culebtra divers as the name suggests are based on the island of Culebra. They have access to around 50 dive sites, most of which are about 30 minutes from the dock on Culebra.
Culebra Divers offer:
Beginners Dive, which is a half day dive, where you will learn the basics of scuba diving as you explore some of the shallow coral reefs around Culebra
Tours cater for the beginner to the advanced and groups are usually no more than 6 people per tour. They can even accommodate the non divers in your group.

Western Puerto Rico
Aquatica Dive and Surf
Aquatica are located on the north side of Aguadilla on the west coast of Puerto Rico. They provide diving tours at Crash Boat Beach and El Natural and for those of you that are more experienced they can offer other locations.

Mona Aquatics
Mona Aquatics are located in Boqueron, close to the Boqueron Nautical Club on the west coast of Puerto Rico (link to x things to do on west coast). Established in 1985 they offer trips to more than 15 dive locations.
Dive Trips
Weather permitting they offer 2 dives per day that include two tanks. There is a minimum of 5 divers per trip. They will also offer night dives on request.
For more experienced divers Mona Aquatics offers dives at Desecheo Island and various sites off the west coast.

Taino Divers
Taino Divers are located at the Rincon marina on the west coast of Puerto Rico. They have been offering scuba diving trips for 19 years.
They offer daily trips (weather permitting) to Desecho Island with a maximum nimber of 12 divers. Trips usually start around 7:30am and return around 2pm.
They also offer morning and afternoon charters to other dive sites in the area.

West Divers Puerto Rico
West Divers Puerto Rico are located at La Parguera on the south east coast of Puerto Rico. They offer scuba diving trips to the la Parguera Wall as well as Playa Santa, Guanica and close to the Light House in Cabo Rojo. They have access to around 40 dive sites in the area including; The Engine, Black Wall, Old Buoy, VJ Levels, Steps, Two for You, Fallen Rock and Mermaid Point.
Morning dives start at the dock around 7am and return by lunch time. Afternoon dives start around 1:30pm and return around 5pm. They also offer night dives with a minimum of 4 divers.
Dive sites are determined on the day of the trip based on weather conditions
