The reenactment of the Battle of San Juan will transport you back to 1697, Saborea Puerto Rico will wow your taste buds with amazing food and the Rincon International Film Festival will showcase emerging film industry talent during its week long festival

1697 Battle of San Juan Reenactment, April 27 – 29

Stepping back in time is easy during the weekend long reenactment of the 1697 Battle of San Juan. Living history volunteers wearing period costumes will reenact battle strategies and fire period weapons in and around El Morro Fort, Ballaja Barracks, Luis Munoz Rivera Park and El Escambron Battery.

This annual event is a great way to see how life was like back in the late 17 century and is a fun event for all the family. Check out more details here

Saborea Puerto Rico, April 21 – 22

Taking place once again at Escambron Beach, Saborea Puerto Rico features the best Puerto Rican Chefs and restaurants with cooking demonstrations, food samples music and more. This year, along with the Saborea Opening Party, you will find; a Farmers Market, California Wineries Pavilion, Sweets and Brews (coffee) a Beach Party and the regular Saborea Puerto Rico Village and Kids Pavilion.

Rincon International Film Festival, April 10 – 15

The Rincon International Film Festival celebrates its 5th year showcasing films from Puerto Rico and around the world. The 2012 festival will feature 91 films and 16 music videos from 19 different countries including 33 World Premieres and 43 Puerto Rican films.

Annual turtle festival in the town of Luquillo featuring parades, music, food and more

Tomato Festival, Jayuya, April 14 – 15
The town of Jayuya (cental region) delebrates its annual Tomato Festival with food, music and artisans
