The prestigious Ironman Triathlon; Ironman 70.3 returns to Puerto Rico on Sunday March 15. 2020.

100’s of athletes from Puerto Rico and Internationally will take part in the 3 event triathlon, to see who will be crowned Ironman 70.3 Puerto Rico.

The official start will take place at 6:50 am in the Condado Lagoon where the athletes will swim 1.2 miles away and continue towards the transition area at the Sixto Escobar Stadium.

From Sixto Escobar Stadium the athletes will head out on a 56-mile cycling route that will take them along the northern part of San Juan, heading west towards Dorado and the Atlantic Ocean, before returning along the same coastal route back to the transition area at Sixto Escobar Stadium.

The final 13.1 mile run will take the athletes on a double loop through Old San Juan and its colonial Spanish architecture, including the famous San Felipe del Morro Fort. The run ends at the Parque del Tercer Milenio.

Ironman 70.3 Puerto Rico is one of more than 100 events in the global IRONMAN 70.3 Series, and offers 40 age-group qualifying slots, and an additional 25 qualifying spots for women under the Women For Tri initiative, to the 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, taking place November 28, 2020 in Taupo, New Zealand.
