EnCaminARTE is a new monthly concept that will transform the cobbled streets of San Sebastián, San José and Plaza del Mercado close to the Museo de San Juan into an open air walking space filled with art, performances and gastronomy.
The first event takes place from 11am to 9pm on Sunday June 30 and again on July 28 (the last Sunday of the month).
The streets will be closed to traffic and will be filled with artisans, street performers, musicians, and activities for children, Local restaurants will also be on hand showcasing their menu items.
EnCaminARTE will give local artists the opportunity to showcase their work and gain exposure..
The event is sponsored by Codevisa (Corporation for the Business and Cultural Development of the Isleta de San Juan) who hope to make this a monthly event for the whole family with the support of the local community, local restaurant owners, artisans and visitors to Old San Juan.
During the event CODEVISA will have golf carts picking up pedestrians at Plaza Colón and driving them to San Sebastian Street, free of charge.
