Christmas has finally come to a close here in Puerto Rico, Valentines is just around the corner, and there are a host of fun things to do this February, including: Serie del Caribe, Carnaval Ponceño and the Fiestón Cultural del ICP..

February 7 – 9 : Carnavál del Plata in Dorado
Annual carnival that takes place in and around Plaza Publica in Dorado. The event features, parades, music, artisan and activities for children.

Maricao hosts its annual Coffee Festival at the towns main plaza and is a celebration for the end of the coffee picking season. Highlights include lots of great coffee, artisans, music, local foods and children’s activities.

Februray 21 t- 23: Carnaval de Vejigantes de la Playa de Ponce
The Carnaval de Vejigantes de la Playa de Ponce is the precursor to the main Carnaval Ponceno. is a vibrant celebration of Puerto Rican culture, folklore, and tradition. Held in La Playa de Ponce, this annual festival showcases the island’s iconic vejigantes—masked figures dressed in colorful, elaborate costumes. Expect lively parades, bomba and plena rhythms, street performances, and delicious local cuisine

Februay 20 – 23: Festival del Frio in Adjuntas

February 28 – March 4: Carnaval Ponceño / Ponce Carnival
The Ponce Carnival (Carnaval Ponceño) is one of Puerto Rico’s most iconic and historic festivals, celebrated in the heart of Ponce just before Lent. Known for its vibrant parades, elaborate vejigante masks, lively bomba and plena music, and dazzling costumes, this week-long celebration blends African, Spanish, and Taíno influences. Highlights include the Burial of the Sardine, a symbolic and theatrical end to the festivities.
