Ponce & Aguadilla Airports Reopen

This coming Thursday April 1, the airports in Ponce and Aguadilla will be once again open for passengers, having be closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic

The Puerto Rico Porta Authority has implemented COVID-19 protocols that include: Thermal Infra-Red Cameras, Strict Sanitary Measures, Special Signage, and Hand Sanitizer Stations throughout the airports.

Masks are mandatory in the airport buildings as well as on the aircrafts. Passengers disregarding the mandates face severe fines and or jail time.

The Ports Authority are advising travelers leaving from Rafael Hernández de Aguadilla and Ponce arrive at least 2 hours prior to departure in order to complete the screening proicess implemented.

Only travelers with airline tickets will be allowed in the airports with Family members having to remain outside. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and passengers with disabilities will be able to be accompanied by one person.

Travelers arriving to Puerto Rico are advised not to linger in the airport and should complete the www.travelsafe.pr.gov application on their mobile device to speed up the screening process upon arrival in Puerto Rico.

If you are planning on picking up someone from either Rafael Hernández de Aguadilla or Ponce Airports must remain in their vehicles and park in the specially marked designated areas
