Danza Week in Ponce, May 14-20

Danza is a formal dance similar to a waltz that first saw the dance floor towards the end of the 19th Century in Puerto Rico’s southern city of Ponce.

Las Delicias Plaza in Ponce will be the focal point of the weeklong event that will feature conferences, concerts, parades and period costumes

Puerto Rico ComicCon, May 26-27

The Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan will be home to the 2012 Puerto Rico ComicCon where comic fans and wanna be super heroes will unite.

This year along with the Gaming Zone Gaming Arena fans of ComicCon will have the chance to meet: Jason David Frank (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Liam O’Brien (video game voice actor), Renee Witterstaetter (comic book artist and writer), Dan DiDio, (famed comic book writer, _ and current Co-Publisher of DC Comics) and more…

Puerto Rico Restaurant Week, May 14-20

New to the culinary calendar the first ever Puerto Rico Restaurant Week will feature restaurants form Old San Juan, Condado, Isla Verde, Santurce, Mirramar, Hato Rey and Guaynabo.

Participating restaurant will showcase a set 3 course meal for $29 or $39 depending on the restaurant

Emerald of the South Carnival, May 26-27
Patillas on the south coast of Puerto Rico will host this carnival featuring parades, local music, artisans and great Puerto Rican food
