Saborea Puerto Rico just keeps getting bigger and better and this year’s culinary event takes place from April 4 to 7 at Escambron Beach in San Juan
Now a permanent fixture on the food festival calendar the 6th annual Saborea Puerto Rico has become one of the biggest culinary festivals in the Caribbean.
This year more than 50 local and international chefs, along with 50 local restaurants will showcase their work at tasting pavilions and cooking demonstrations.
Chefs to look out for at Saborea Puerto Rico 2013 include:
- Puerto Rico based Fernando Parrilla, Mario Pagan and Roberto Trevino
- Food Network’s ‘Unwrapped’ presenter Marc Summers
- Food Network’s ‘Restaurant Impossible’ presenter Robert Irvine

The main events will take place on Saturday & Sunday April 6-7 with special opening events taking place Thursday & Friday evenings (April 4-5)

Thursday, April 4, 2013 – 6-10pm: Bubbles and Bites
Bubbles & Bites is the kickoff party for Saborea Puerto Rico, where you can enjoy tasty Puerto Rican Bites, Champagne and music
Tickets cost $75
Location: Ritz Carlton Hotel, San Juan
Friday, April 5, 2013 – 6-10pm: A Priviledged Taste of Saborea
The event will feature 20 chefs from Puerto Rico with each chef presiding over a table to 10 people, Each chef will prepare a signature meal for their respective table including wine pairings.
Proceeds from this event go to the PRHTA’s Educational Fund.

Demo Kitchen Theater: The General Electric sponsored kitchen will feature lively and entertaining cooking demonstrations from the master chefs

Brews & Stews: Will feature amazing coffee and desserts
California Wineries: Will feature wines from various wineries in California
