This weekends San Sebastian Festival (Thursday 17 – Sunday 20, January) is going to mean that the streets of Old San Juan will be even more congested than usual. With this in mind, the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) want as many people as possible to utilize the Tren Urbano and Metropolitan Bus Authority buses.
The ‘Express route to San Sebastian… the festivals begin at the Urban Train’ means that you can take the Urben Tren to Sagrado Corazon station in Santurce to Old San Juan and then hop on one of the 35 MBA buses that will be traveling to and from the festival during the 4 days.
The service will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and will cost $5. The service will operate until 2am each day. If you are planning on attending the festival then this is certainly a good option. Park your car at the nearest Tren Urbano station and enjoy the ride.
